Best Ways to Stay Hydrated

Drinking Water

One of the most important ways to make sure you stay hydrated is to make sure you are drinking enough water. It is recommended to drink 0.5 - 1 ounce of water per lb that you weigh every day. Other drinks such as coffee or soda do not effectively hydrate you and may actually contribute to dehydrating your body.

Fluid Rich Foods

Consuming fluid rich foods such as Watermelon, Strawberries, Lettuce, Bell Peppers, Peaches, Oranges, Tomatoes, Pineapple or even soup broth can be a great way to stay hydrated and not feel like you are soley relying on water every day.

Warm Showers

Taking a short, up to 15min warm shower dilates your pores and allows more moisture to be absorbed. Applying moisturizers such as lotion, coconut oil or shea butter directly after showering can help trap moisture in.

Exfoliation

Regular, gentle exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells, allowing your skin to absorb moisture more effectively.
